“One of the things that gets sort of lost in all the day-to-day campaign stuff is that these guys are still out there furiously raising money every day,” said Dan Judy, a GOP pollster with Alexandria, Va.-based North Star Opinion Research. “Obama outraised Romney in August, but Mitt Romney can easily raise a few million bucks. There’s fertile ground [in Illinois] even for Republicans to raise money.”
